Political commentator reflects on ministerial reshuffle

On Monday, Chief Minister Alfred Cannan reshuffled his Cabinet, removing Alex Allinson and Michelle Haywood from their roles as Treasury and Infrastructure ministers.

Mr Cannan said the move was intended to “redefine the government’s approach to priorities” for the remainder of the administration, as part of changes within the Council of Ministers.

"Public confidence has been drifting; sentiment among businesses has hardened; and – frankly - continuing without adjustment would be the wrong course. We need to steady the ship, listen more carefully and proceed with greater consensus and understanding." - Chief Minister Alfred Cannan

Manx Radio has invited Government to respond to Mr Ramsay's comments.
