Owners of Douglas eatery say 'prosperous days are becoming sparse'
After nine years on Castle Street in Douglas, The Tea Junction has announced it will close next year.
In a statement the café owners say they won't be renewing the lease when it ends in May 2025.
They say the decision comes amidst rising wage costs coupled with a 'turbulent inflationary world', adding; 'the prosperous days are becoming sparse'.
They're urging any potential businesses looking to take over the space to get in touch.
They say, while it's a bittersweet goodbye, they're excited about the prospect of passing the venue along to new owners - adding it would lend itself to a superb evening dining & cocktail venue.
Mark Davison, who runs the business with his partner Jason Larrosa, spoke to Manx Radio:
