Further protest march planned later this month

A local campaigner says whatever the outcome of a Tynwald debate on the climate 'emergency' tomorrow, public protest on the issue will continue.

Louise Whitelegg, who is Regional Coordinator for Christian Aid on the Island, has helped organise the Manx 'Time is Now' march later this month.

Coinciding with a parallel event in the UK, demonstrators will put three 'asks' to the Manx government:

1) Keeps fossil fuels in the ground

2) Fossil fuel divestment - ethical investment

3) the 'fare free' campaign for free public transport
