Thirty young people from the Isle of Man have received their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award at Government House.
The highest level achievable for the award, the gold award follows years of volunteering, building new skills and physical challenges.
To receive their gold, they also had to plan and complete a demanding four-day expedition, spending time working alongside people they'd never met before.
Badges were presented by Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer, with more than half of this year's recipients came from Castle Rushen High School.
Over 600 young people across the Island are currently working towards their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.
