Speech calls for truth over rhetoric
Advocating facts, not rhetoric, is the best way to secure the Island's future, according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
He delivered the main address at the annual Illiam Dhone commemoration at Hango Hill in Castletown on Monday.
Mr Thomas says Dhone would have been supportive of some current government policies such as the Freedom of Information Act, which came in to full effect yesterday.
Around 130 people gathered at the site to remember the famous Manxman, who was executed there on 2 January, 1663.
