Tonight's Manxman sailing cancelled

Return leg also off due to 'forecast adverse weather'

This evening's (Tuesday 12 March) Manxman sailing has been cancelled.

The 8.45pm crossing from Douglas to Heysham has been called off due to forecast adverse weather.

It means the return leg, due to leave Heysham at 2:15am tomorrow (13 March), has also been dropped.

Ronaldsway Met Office has confirmed a yellow weather warning will be in place this evening from 11pm until 3am.

Strong south-southwest winds will develop leading to 'mainly minor coastal overtopping with slight debris around the time of high tide'.

This will mainly impact central and northern parts of Douglas promenade as well as Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade, Laxey Promenade and Ramsey Promenade.

Inner harbour flooding is not expected for this high tide.

Those affected by the above cancellations who need to re-arrange travel are asked to contact the Steam Packet's reservations team on 01624 661661 or 08722 992 992 to make alternative arrangements.
