The public is being asked to steer clear of the Tower of Refuge in Douglas bay over the next week.
Construction work on a landing stage means there’ll be heavy equipment and plant working on and around Conister Rock.
The Department of Transport is carrying out a second and final phase of work at the tower during early morning and evening low tide.
The DoT is asking people to stay away from today until next Tuesday, although construction may have to go on until Wednesday if the weather delays work.
