Town centre apartment project completed

The second phase of Hanover House apartments in Lord Street, Douglas has been completed.

It will provide a further twelve units, in addition to the 15 in phase one.

The project represents a £2.1 million investment in public sector housing by Douglas Borough Council in partnership with the Department of Social Care.

The council says the project was completed 13 weeks early and within budget.

The apartments will be allocated to existing tenants in lower Douglas, with consideration given to those with restricted mobility and/or health problems, as the building has a lift providing access to all floors.
