Visitors to the Home of Rest on Richmond Hill will soon be able to see a Douglas Borough Council horse tram, as well as some of the animals that used to pull it along the promenade.
The council has donated 'Tram 35' free of charge, and it will be mounted on a plinth in the car park in the next month or so.
Chairman of leisure services Stephen Pitts says the arrangment will benefit both parties:
"It helped save my life"

Former TT rider's family at risk of losing house after rejected insurance pay out
