Installation of boarding card scanners questioned
TravelWatch says it has no objection to the spending of £300,000 to get rid of queues at Ronaldsway.
That's the amount the Department of Infrastructure says it's going to spend to reduce the time it takes for passengers to get through security - with a claimed target of just 10 minutes.
There have been complaints over the last 12 months when it's taken up to an hour at busy times for passengers and their hand luggage to be scanned.
However, aviation spokesman for TravelWatch, Terry Liddiard, says they do have an issue with what they believe are non-essential items of equipment being installed which will do nothing to speed up the flow of passengers.
