Treasury Minister: Fair settlement over pay a 'priority'

Union accuses government of being ‘extremely slow’

The treasury minister says reaching a 'fair and affordable settlement' in an ongoing pay dispute is a priority.

Alex Allinson has confirmed various government departments are currently in a series of 'complex pay negotiations' with a number of unions.

Talks have been ongoing this week.

Prospect Trade Union has accused government of being ‘extremely slow’ on reaching agreements on increased pay and better terms and conditions.
