Treasury minister has 'no plans to increase taxation'

Alex Allinson says government must provide value for money for taxpayers

The treasury minister says he has no plans to increase tax on the Isle of Man.

But, Alex Allinson admits government does have to find savings to ensure it's providing value for money for taxpayers.

Last year's budget saw the higher rate of income tax increased to 22 percent before dropping down to 21 percent this year, while it was announced this week that plans for a new NHS Levy have been abandoned.

Dr Allinson, who'll deliver the final budget of this administration in February, insists there are no further tax rises on the horizon:
