Trial for Douglas man accused of threatening to kill ex

41-year-old denies domestic abuse offence

A Douglas man will stand trial after being accused of threatening to kill his ex-partner.

Stuart James Morris, of Church Road Marina, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.

He denied committing a domestic abuse offence between 15 April and 13 May.

A pre-trial review will take place on 16 November; the 41-year-old has been bailed until that date.

 

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 16 November a one-day trial was set for 19 February 2024. 

Update: At Douglas Courthouse the domestic abuse charge was replaced by the prosecution with a public order offence. 

Mr Morris received a Bind Over Order – ordering him to be of good behaviour – and a restraining order which will be in place until further notice.
