Tributes paid to Island police officer

Friends of Fiona Bone have been paying tribute, describing the police officer as a loving, sociable and caring person who had found what she truly wanted to do in life. 


She died during a shooting in Hattersley in Manchester yesterday in an incident which also claimed the life of one of her colleagues.


Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police Sir Peter Fahy said the deaths marked one of his force's darkest days.

Fiona moved to the Island in the late nineties and quickly formed a circle of friends in the sixth form at Castle Rushen High School.
