Tribute has been paid to a Castletown stalwart.
Former commissioners’ chairman Harold Kelly passed away just before Christmas at the age of 92.
He leaves a wife Margaret, two children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
However, it was as chairman of the Save our Scarlett that Mr Kelly is perhaps best remembered in recent years.
He was instrumental in setting up the pressure group which successfully campaigned for 13 years to stop development at the southern beauty spot Knock Rushen.
His successor as SoS chairman, John Cringle, said he was a true gentleman:
