TT 2023 schedule could impact on human rights says campaigner

Murcott says plans to race on Sunday are 'unacceptable'

Proposed changes to next year's TT schedule could breach human rights.

That's the claim of a Christian campaigner who says plans for racing to take place on a Sunday would impact those wishing to go to church.

The 2023 plan, which is subject to public consultation, has earmarked 4 June for the RST Superbike race.

That day is traditionally known as 'Mad Sunday'.

Peter Murcott has told Manx Radio racing on a Sunday would be 'unacceptable':

Manx Radio has asked the Department for Enterprise for a response.
