1,500 extra bikes are expected on the Island this year, and the roads are set to be extremely busy with numbers of visitors close to the levels seen during 2007's centenary year.
With that in mind, officers are asking anyone using the roads during TT this year to be extra careful.
Saturday, the first day of practice sessions on the TT circuit, saw a small number of accidents.
Inspector Derek Flint is reminding people to be both aware and cautious:
Overnight sailings cancelled due to adverse weather
Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
Discovery of oiled birds 'makes a mockery of our biosphere status'
