Police reiterate their support for the taxi trade
The Island's police are urging those heading out tonight to take care and drink safe after a man was arrested following a dispute with a taxi driver.
Officers were asked to help a taxi driver last night due to an issue over a fare.
Once at the scene, the constabulary alleges two officers were assaulted, and the man was taken into custody.
Police say this is a timely reminder of its support for the taxi trade.
