Emergency powers were a fait accompli, says Barber
The moving of certain emergency powers through this session of Tynwald has led one member to describe them as "fait accompli", or a done deal.
Clare Barber criticised the way members seemed to have been kept away from some of the decision making over the summer months.
She said it had been a subject of deep concern for herself and other colleagues:
Isle of Man economy contracts for second year
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
Job Centre unable to reliably identify duplicate vacancies
Airport warns high winds could impact flights
