Tynwald order paper rearranged

Today's meeting in London, between a Manx Government delegation and United Kingdom Health Secretary Andy Burnham has led to a change in the order of business in Tynwald.

With Chief Minister Tony Brown and Health Minister Eddie Teare absent from the chamber, all matters relating to the Reciprocal Health Agreement, as well as the monthly question time, have been put back to tomorrow.

It means Tynwald is today focusing on the issues on the main order paper other than the health agreement.

They include plans for a £3 million revamp of Richmond Hill, regarded as the Island's most dangerous road; a review of the planning system; and a statement on accessing criminal records in the United Kingdom and Europe.

There is full coverage of the first sitting of Tynwald of 2010 on Manx Radio's AM 1368 service, and at manxradio.com, from 10.30am.
