
Monopoly providers such as the Steam Packet are to be investigated in a bid to protect the Isle of Man's national interests.
Tynwald unanimously backed the move after the trade and industry minister sucessfully amended Onchan MHK Peter Karran's suggestion the Council of Ministers should create a structure to regulate the User Agreement.
There will be a report back to Tynwald next April.

Tynwald didn't support a call for a vote of no confidence in the Department of Transport which oversaw the agreement.
