Tynwald to sit 'virtually' tomorrow

First time Manx parliament meets online

Tynwald will sit via an online audio link for the first time at 10:30 tomorrow morning.

As part of the extraordinary sitting, Howard Quayle and other ministers will make statements.

The chief minister will ask the court to continue Emergency Powers Regulations which were brought in during the last seven days.

Regulations include entry restrictions, business closures and the 40mph speed limit.

The Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture will ask for approval of the Coronavirus Fisheries Industry Support Scheme.

Following Tynwald, the House of Keys will sit virtually to consider changes to primary legislation.

If the proposals are agreed by the Keys, the Legislative Council will convene.

You can listen to the Tynwald sitting live on Manx Radio's AM network, 1368, online at manxradio.com and on the smartphone app from 10:30 tomorrow.
