Extraordinary sitting to take place today
An extraordinary sitting of Tynwald will take place this morning to determine whether or not children who receive free school meals can continue to do so over the Easter holidays.
The request to bring the meal voucher scheme back comes from the education minister and is one of the measures announced earlier this week to try and help ease the impact of the cost of living crisis.
Following a significant rise in gas prices, and with electricity also increasing between now and June, household costs are expected to jump by up to 20 per cent.
The sitting starts at 10:30am - listen live on Manx Radio AM1368, online and on smartphone apps.
