UK cards to be valid on Island

New Proof of Age cards issued by the United Kingdom Government will be an acceptable form of identification in the Isle of Man, from January 1.

Similar IDs, issued by local secondary schools and the Office of Fair Trading, are already available to Island residents.

Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw says making the cards valid here will make it easier for visitors from the UK to prove how old they are.
