UK company supporting DEFA's work on next climate change plan

Specialists appointed for assist with 2027-2032 document

A UK company has been appointed to help the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture as it prepares its next climate change plan.

DEFA Minister Clare Barber has confirmed greenhouse gas inventory specialists Aether will be supporting the development of the 2027 - 2032 document.

The appointment will be in place until the plan is signed off by the Council of Ministers, which is expected to be in 24 months time.

The company, which also provides emissions data for Net Zero Isle of Man, was chosen following an open procurement process.

The total cost of the contract is under £100,000.
