Seasoned detectives here filling sergeant roles
Police are recruiting UK detectives as Manx officers don't have the right experience.
That's according to Chief Inspector Phil Drowley - he says it's because seasoned detectives here are filling 'sergeant' level positions left vacant by retiring officers.
The Isle of Man Constabulary is rolling out a marketing campaign to encourage applications from 'suitably qualified' off-Island officers.
Once on board, they're expected to work across an array of disciplines; including public protection and financial crime investigations.
The deadline for applications is August 26.
