Spread of Indian variant in UK causes concern
Island unions are calling on government to share their mitigation plans for Covid-19 returning to our shores.
The call comes as the Indian variant of coronavirus, now known as 'Delta' by the World Health Organistion, spreads across the UK.
There are currently four active cases of Covid-19, but it's not yet known what strain of the virus they are - the tests have been sent away for genomics sequencing.
Debbie Halsall, from Unite, is particularly concerned about members working across the transport sector, should the virus reach the Island:
Mick Hewer, from Prospect, says plans regarding key workers need to be shared:
'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
