Unions in the Isle of Man are stepping up their campaign of opposition to proposed changes to public sector pensions.
The Trades Council in the Island says staff bodies representing 10,000 workers are united in their opposition, and have invited all the members of Tynwald to a briefing on the issue, next month.
The plan is to lobby politicians directly, and examine and publish their views which, in turn, would provide material to lobby government.
Among other things, the unions believe the proposals would lead to a massive cut in existing benefits, a longer working life and little income protection for retired members.
The briefing for members of Tynwald will be at Transport House on October 9.
