Police in the Pulrose area of Douglas are appealing for witnesses to an assault in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Officers say the attack on a man in Oak Avenue, between 2.15 and 2.45am on Saturday, was unprovoked.
He wasn't seriously injured, but police say many people were in the area at the time and would have seen what happened.
