Five riders injured in Thursday's racing
An update on the riders injured during Thursday's racing at the Southern 100 has been issued.
Four competitors were involved in a crash at the Stadium Bend section of the Billown Course, with Driffield rider James Cowton suffering fatal injuries.
It's now been confirmed Ivan Lintin, from Lincoln, has undergone surgery at a hospital in Liverpool - although it's understood he's still in a critical condition.
Jamie Coward, from West Yorkshire, and local Manx rider Michael Evans have both been discharged from hospital.
They both suffered non-life threatening injuries in that same incident.
A fifth rider was also injured in a separate incident earlier in the day at Church Bends.
Poole's Brian Fuidge has since been flown off-Island to be treated for an injury sustained to his jaw.
