Manx Utilities gives details on plans to end untreated sewage flows
Manx Utilities has published updates for both the Peel and Garff sewage treatment works.
Both sites, in the east and west, have been in development for a number of years and hope to put an end to the flow of raw sewage into Manx waters.
The Peel development is further along, and Manx Utilities says all pre-commencement planning conditions have now been discharged.
Contracts with the authority's preferred contractor have been finalised, and it says it is awaiting completion of the conveyance process to gain access to the land for mobilisation to the site - expected later this month.
Once that is complete, the MU says it will publish its intended construction programme for the works.

Meanwhile, in Garff, pipeline routes have been modified to avoid more 'sensitive ecological locations'.
It says further comments have been received on the Environmental Scoping Report and are being assessed by the team.
The planning submission for Garff is scheduled for June.
