Urgent question on breast screening to lead House of Keys agenda

Police satisfaction, TV licences and new residents also feature on question paper

An urgent question on breast screening has ben tabled for this morning’s House of Keys sitting.

North Douglas MHK John Wannenburgh has permission to ask why routine screening has been suspended at Noble’s Hospital.

He’ll quiz the Health and Social Care Minister Lawrie Hooper on Manx Care’s decision.

Thirteen other questions have been tabled – six of which are from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.

He wants to know what action government is taking to attract 15,000 new residents and whether government will pay for TV licences beyond December.

He’s also pushing for an update on Ballasalla Medical Centre after the contract was handed back to Manx Care.

Fellow Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover wants to know what progress has been made with resolving customer billing issues at Isle of Man Energy.

Minister for Justice and Home Affairs Jane Poole-Wilson will be asked what she’s doing to ensure that concerns raised by the Police Federation are addressed.
