Oil tank and pitch fencing subject to damage
Braddan football club is hoping to claim insurance after its oil tank was struck by vandals.
It is believed a concrete block has purposefully been dropped onto the pipe, which provides the clubhouse with heating.
As a result 700 litres of kerosene oil has leaked, an amount which will cost the club almost £500 to replace.
It comes after a series of incidents in the Victoria Road area where features at Summerhill Glen have also been subject to vandalism.
One occasion saw a hooded individual take off after groundskeepers caught them pulling down parts of the fencing which surrounds the pitch.
The damage, which is thought to have taken place since the last home game on 15 September, has been reported to the Police.
