Vandals target Circular Road

Police are looking for witnesses to a number of incidents of criminal damage in the Circular Road area of Douglas.

They happened in the late hours of Saturday night and early yesterday (Sunday) morning when the windows of three commercial properties were smashed and a car window was broken.

Officers are calling it an act of mindless vandalism and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch on 631212.

Meanwhile, Peel Police are investigating the theft of red plastic petrol containers from boats moored at the Peel Marina.

They were taken sometime between Monday, August 31 and Thursday, September 3.

The containers are similar to the five litre petrol cans people often keep in their cars but slightly larger.

Anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously near boats in the harbour is asked to ring Peel police on 631551.

Police advise boat owners to be vigilant and keep belongings upon their boats secure and out of view.
