Department for Enterprise welcomes couple's use of local businesses
The Department for Enterprise has described the wedding between Tyson Fury's daughter and her new husband as a true showcase of the breadth and quality of local services available on the Island.
Sixteen-year-old Venezuela Fury married 19-year-old Noah Price in a ceremony in St John's on Saturday (16 May).
It was followed by a reception at The Comis Hotel in Santon.
A number of Manx businesses were involved, from photographers to event planners, in an occasion which has received widespread press coverage both here and overseas.
The DfE told Manx Radio it shows services on the Isle of Man are capable of delivering highly professional events.
In a statement it added: "We welcome the fact that the couple chose to support a number of local businesses to help them be part of their special day, which was also a great show of confidence in the quality that exists across our local economy and makes us proud of the local businesses we are so fortunate to have in the Island.
"We would like to extend our congratulations to the newly married couple and wish them both every happiness for the future."
Manx Radio has been speaking to The Event Stylists IOM, who helped plan the whole occasion.
