'Very high demand' for lateral flow devices

Follows changes to border restrictions

There's been a 'steep rise' in people ordering lateral flow devices on the Isle of Man.

Government says the 'very high demand' is due to new border restrictions which it's bringing in from 4am tomorrow (Tuesday).

It's in response to a new variant of Covid-19 called Omicron.

People who arrive on Island from the Common Travel Area will be asked to take a test on arrival.

Manx Independent Carriers is working to fulfil the increased demand – those looking to secure the home testing kits are asked to wait 'a couple of extra days' before chasing.

LFDs will be available at the ports for arriving passengers.
