Consultation on permitted development will soon close
There are just a few days left to respond to a public consultation about what you can and can't build in your garden.
Government wants views on proposed amendments to Class 15 of the Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development) Order 2025 which currently covers garden sheds, summer-houses and pergolas that can be constructed under permitted development.
Cabinet Officer Minister David Ashford says a balance is needed between what is and isn't allowed; people sleeping in sheds, for example.
