Senior staff at Axa Properties are being asked to get in touch with Douglas Corporation to talk about their plans for the former Villiers Hotel site, also known as the Town Square.
Works Committee Chairman Ritchie McNicholl (pictured) says he and his colleagues are becoming increasingly concerned about the state of the public area, and a police report on vandalism in the area is a further worry.
It's been established Axa Properties has full responsibility for what happens in the 'square' and while the Corporation would make a contribution to any improvements, nothing is happening because the company won't return the councillors' calls:
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
