Tom Fairfax warns a lot of conventionally farmed soil isn't hugely active

Keeping the ground healthy for farming is all about observation, but it's a skill we're beginning to lose.

That's from a UK farmer who's been visiting the Island as part of a Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group - or FWAG - workshop.

Tom Fairfax says a lot of conventionally farmed soil isn't hugely active, meaning farmers have to rely on fertiliser and other products.

He told Simon Clarke about the challenges farmers face:
