It could cost between £5,000-£35,000 to repatriate a person
Visitors to the Isle of Man are being reminded to ensure that they have travel insurance ahead of their trips.
The advice comes from Manx Care's commercial development manager who says while emergency care is free - if a person is admitted for further treatment they would be required to spend thousands depending on the treatment needed.
Andrew Reed told Manx Radio UK residents would be covered, however those from outside won't be because there aren't any health agreements with their countries here.
He added if a person needed to be repatriated back to their own country it would be expensive:
