VLM plane to undergo rigorous inspection


An VLM aircraft involved in an incident at Ronaldsway this morning will be thoroughly inspected before it's allowed back into service.

The flight from London City was blown off the runway by a gust of wind, as it landed at about 10am.

No one was hurt, but the airport's emergency services turned out and there were delays for a time as authorities worked out the best way to move the plane, which had come to rest with its front wheels off the tarmac, close to a runway landing light.

That was done shortly after lunchtime, and services returned to normal early this afternoon.
