Vote fraud trio sentenced next month

Sentencing has been adjourned for three weeks after two Douglas women - who worked as canvassers for celebrity chef Kevin Woodford – were convicted of election fraud.

Forty year-old Gail Corrin and 25 year-old Kerry Rothwell were yesterday found guilty of manipulating the proxy voting system at the 2010 Douglas East by-election.

They were convicted of one charge each of conspiracy to effect legal purpose by improper means and will be sentenced on November the 22nd, along with campaign manager Charles Lewin who had previously admitted three counts of election fraud.
