Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne remains confident he can end the wrangling over an all-Island taxi service by September.
Yesterday (Tuesday) in Tynwald he withdrew an item which would have seen members vote on the issue, following protests from taxi drivers and approaches by other politicians.
Mr Gawne says the withdrawal is only temporary to allow more talks to take place between his department and the taxi trade, and he still thinks changes to the system can be made before the House of Keys general election:
Debate over future of Castletown Police Station
Campaigners react to delays to Assisted Dying Bill
Hospital main entrance remains closed following vehicle fire
Report calls for public to be more involved in Budget process
