'We can't read into daily figures' says health minister

Total number of cases stands at 313

The health minister has reiterated "we can't read anything" into the daily figures on coronavirus, because we "need to see trend data."

David Ashford was responding to questions at yesterday's media briefing, after four more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed:

Yesterday's four cases brings the total number to 313.

There have been 3,049 tests completed, with 29 awaiting results and 34 people awaiting tests.

In total 271 patients have been instructed to self-isolate and 21 are currently being treated at the hospital.

Two hundred and fifty-eight people are presumed recovered.

There have been 16 deaths in the community and five at Noble's Hospital.

Meanwhile, an Island doctor is warning against any relaxation of lockdown measures.

Dr Martin Rankin is a GP for the Manx Emergency Doctors Service and says the impact of Covid-19 can't be underestimated:
