Customers can submit meter readings if they wish
Gas bills on the Isle of Man will rise by 43.9 per cent today (1 September).
Manx Gas has blamed a ‘steep rise’ in the cost of gas on the commodity market.
The increase – from 15.4377p to 22.2106p - will only be billed from today; all gas used prior to today will be charged at the old rate.
Customers can submit meter readings if they choose - the customer support team is working extended hours – until 6pm - today and tomorrow to accommodate this.
