Racer says 'Thank You' for help in returning to IoM
A TT racer who crashed last year - losing his bike in a ‘fireball’ - has thanked the people who’ve helped him return to the Isle of Man.
Sam West was airlifted to hospital after a crash at Laurel Bank after what he described as a ‘silly mistake’.
He says after spending his savings on surgery he was left with no way to race in 2023 – until his friends and sponsors stepped in.
Speaking before today’s first practice session Sam said he’s ‘grateful’ to be back:
Candidates could need to declare interests to stand in 2026 General Election
Customs and Excise office to relocate
Douglas man convicted in Island's 'most complex child abuse image investigation'
Temporary lights installed on Douglas promenade
