MHK looks into how many of those affected by floods have applied for financial aid
Government has been offering emergency funding to those affected by the Laxey flooding but an MHK is asking, what comes next?
In a written question for the House of Keys, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse is looking into how many Laxey residents have applied for and received the £500 financial aid from government.
The severe flooding earlier this month ruined the homes of many living on Glen Road, leaving them with huge financial burdens.
Mr Moorhouse says the funding initiative is good but only offers temporary benefits:
Top 20 Manx Care earners have combined salary of £7.1m
Application for fibre poles in Ramsey estate refused
Government publishes updated insurance sector money laundering risk assessment
