Youth justice sentencing to feature in wider review of justice system
Courts dealing with young offenders could have a wider range of sentencing options following a review due to take place later this year.
An urgent review of sentences was one of the recommendations put forward by a Tynwald committee that's been looking at ways to improve youth justice on the Island.
Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson asked instead for this to be included as part of a wider review of the Criminal Justice Strategy - scheduled for later in 2023.
