MSPCA issues advice ahead of Peel fireworks display
Move your bonfire into place on the same day you plan to burn it - to protect wildlife from getting caught up in it.
That's the advice from the ManxSPCA, as the first organised fireworks display is being prepared in Peel.
Bad weather meant the annual event has been moved to tonight, to avoid a clash with the start of the scallop fishing season.
The bonfire will be lit on the beach at 7pm, with the fireworks starting at 7.30pm.
Juana Warburton from the MSPCA has this advice for anyone holding private celebrations:
Anyone planning a private event is encouraged to let the MSPCA know, so they can notify pet owners in the area.
