
A Douglas man caught with more than 16,000 child pornography images has been jailed for 2½ years.
53 year-old Paul David Wilson of Queen's Terrace admitted eight offences of possessing indecent photographs of children and two of distributing them.
He was arrested at his home in January when police seized his computer and discovered the images, which included those of toddlers.

The court heard that an unprecedented number of the most graphic category of images were found on the computer - something rarely found in the Island.
Wilson admitted he was a fantasist and felt ashamed at falling victim to the internet site in question.
Imposing sentence, Deemster Doyle told Wilson swapping obscene images was extremely serious and severe sentences would be imposed by the Manx courts.
